Could It Be...

Kennedy's follow up eye appointment this morning went really well. Actually, it was better than that...she has been discharged from eye care! Her eyes are fully developed! Having her eyes dilated did not put her in the best mood for the remainder of the day, but she seemed happy snuggled up with her Uncle Mikey when I arrived home from the hospital.

I'm almost afraid to say it for fear of jinxing it, but our little Drake is scheduled for discharge this Saturday! I met with the medical supplier today and signed off for his feeding pump, bags and accessories. Tomorrow his nebulizer should arrive for his home breathing treatments. We are thankful that he has done so well off of his cannula and he will not have to go home on oxygen. It is still hard to believe that in two more nights our little family will be together outside of the hospital walls!

  1. Drake going home Saturday is more than a first down, or touch down. More like a bowl game!

I can't believe Drake's cheeks. Adorable. He's just filling out.

Wonderful news about Kennedy's eyes and I hope this weekend finds you home together at last!

What a LONG haul this has been...and you have all been AMAZING throughout this journey as a family. I CANNOT wait to watch you all grow and learn together through this blog. What an honor it has been to get to watch these babies fight and thrive. Thank you for sharing your babies with us. Prayers continue!

  13. I feel really selfish asking you to continue the blog....I DO NOT mean to take away time from Kennedy or Drake....but I have followed you and prayed faithfully and I will continue to pray. However, getting to see the results of prayer is a very powerful experience. Please, please continue to post pics and updates. God be with all four of you as your lives together finally begin!
