Kennedy is doing good in Special Care. Her occupational therapist came to see her this morning and she did great with her bottle. She has had a couple Brady's (heart rate drops) today and they are considering placing her back on the nasal cannula. We'll see how she does during the night and if she has to go back on cannula, that will be ok.
I'm doing my best learning how to manage my time between the NICU and Special Care. I've never wished I could be in two places at once until now. This is not an ideal situation, but none of this has been so we make the best of what we have. That reminds me of what Brian said at the hospital after the doctor told us the babies would have a better chance of surviving if they delivered. I was laying on my back and tears were streaming down the sides of my face. He held my hand and told me, "This is the hand we've been dealt. We just have to keep the faith and we will make it through."

I was so happy to hear about Kennedy's progress, but so sad to hear that you couldn't be with both your babies! I hope this period passes quickly somehow for you. That's fantastic news that Drake is back on cannula and I hope Kennedy continues to do well with her bottles and that she won't have many/any bradys.

Annie-- you are amazing!! I think every day you manage to overcome more than i can fathom. You are exactly the right person for the job...and how blessed you are to have such a comfident and strong husband for a partner in this journey.
You 4 are such an inspiration. I am thankful for each of you, even though I only "know" you through this blog and Teresa (and nbhs w brian so long ago)! Prayers continue!!
Annie - it must be hard to be away from one baby - but, this too shall pass and you'll be wishing for a break! :) so glad to hear their progress. Drake looks so content with his paci! Does Kennedy like her paci? Again, they are so precious- I LOVE seeing their little hands!
