And Then There Were 2...Helmets

Today was a busy day! Drake had two HBOT treatments in Dallas and Gran brought Kennedy down to meet us so we could go straight to their next appointment at Cranial Technologies. Drake had his helmet checked and adjusted while Kennedy received hers. Drake is not a huge fan of wearing his helmet, but Kennedy doesn't miss a beat while wearing hers.

Tomorrow is Drake's last appointment of his HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) treatments. This will complete his 1st round of 40hrs. We're going to take a few weeks off and then resume with another 40hrs. While Drake is getting his treatments, he enjoys listening to Pandora or having me read him a book. I actually started reading him a book on Nueroplasticity (The brain's ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections throughout life) and he really remains calm while listening. This works out well, because I have been wanting to read this but finding time has been difficult. Now we are able to learn together!

Thursday morning we will be back in Tyler for a visit with our pediatrician. I know we were just there on Friday, but that was just for their Synagis shots. This will be a comprehensive visit. I better start writing down any questions that I have now before I forget. I'm very excited about being at home for longer than just a day and a half!

April 20th will be our 1st March For Babies with the March of Dimes. Our family team is Team Drake and Kennedy! We are very excited that we have already raised over $2,000 for research to help other babies like ours. You can view our team page at the link below:

  2. I love the photos. Drake is a typical boy--Mom do we really need all these pictures. And Kennedy is the little diva--hamming it up every time a camera is around.
Love reading about the progress of these two.
    Happy thoughts to you guys!
